Turin: 260-year-old arrested by the police found in possession of 55 grams of hashish and a stolen phone.

Un 55 year old Algerian citizen was arrested by agents of the PS Dora Vanchiglia police station in Turin, as he is seriously suspected of possession of narcotic substance for the purpose of trafficking. On the night of Friday 21, during a territorial control service, the police station officers, passing along Corso Giulio Cesare, noticed a person who, at the sight of the police car, seemed to want to move away. The man quickens his pace and bends down near two rubbish bins, abandoning the bag he had with him until recently. The officers, suspicious of the man's behavior, immediately recovered the bag and, without ever losing sight of him, reached the 55-year-old and subjected him to a check.

The agents recover the bag four pieces of hashish for a total weight of almost 260 grams and five blisters containing 70 tablets of one medicinal used in the treatment of neuropathic pain, epilepsy and anxiety disorder. During the personal search the policemen also found a mobile phone, worth 1275 euros, whose theft it had been reported a few days earlier by the legitimate owner, to whom the property was immediately returned. In light of the facts, the foreign citizen comes arrested for possession of narcotic substances for the purposes of drug dealing and reported for receiving stolen goods. The criminal proceedings are currently in the preliminary investigation phase, therefore the presumption of not guilt of the suspect applies until the final sentence.
