Turin: former tobacco factory transformed into a home by illegal immigrants, also reported for theft of electricity and illegal construction.
In morning of July 25th, staff of the PS Barriera police station Milano with the collaboration of the "Piemonte" Crime Prevention Department, the Municipal Police and IRETI technicians carried out a High Impact control service in the area of the former tobacco factory in Corso Regio Parco aimed at contrasting situations of urban decay.
In structure have been tracked down three foreign citizens who slept in equipped rooms with bed bases, mattresses and electricity obtained illicitly through dangerous abusive connections to the power plant located inside the structure. The three people were reported for the theft of electricity and for illegal access to the building. Furthermore, two of the three were foreign citizens also reported for violation of immigration regulations as they were irregular on national territory. During the reclamation of the internal area of the building, it was hidden in a bin a dog repellent gun was found and seized from unknown persons.
Al dates Business the IRETI technicians have put in the electrical substation is safe preventing any new illegal connections, while a company appointed by the state has doors and windows were closed which allowed easy access to the property. THE checks will continue on a regular basis.
