Trapani: the State Police arrests a 51-year-old with no criminal record and seizes 650 grams of cocaine.

As part of the activity to combat drug dealing, aimed at dismantling the network of small drug dealers and, at the same time, identifying the supply channels, State Police investigators made an arrest and seized a large quantity of cocaine .

The facts date back to January 24: the arrested person is a 51-year-old Italian, with no criminal record, found with 650 grams of cocaine. The man hid the narcotic in a farmhouse, in the open countryside, just outside the town centre. What made the operators of the Flying Squad of the Trapani Police Headquarters suspicious was the continuous coming and going from that apparently uninhabited building. When the police intervened, in the late afternoon, the man was about to enter the farmhouse using keys; therefore, no doubt about the full availability, on the part of the man, of the property and the narcotic hidden in it.

In addition to cocaine, cuttings, packaging material and 1.670 euros in cash were found; it is very likely that the arrested person prepared the doses right in that house surrounded by thick vegetation, away from prying eyes.
The arrest was validated by the competent Judicial Authority. The market value of the seized cocaine is around 50.000 euros.
