Trapani, fight against drug dealing: the State Police arrests Marsala

Trapani, yesterday morning the Marsala State Police arrested RF, from Marsala, born in '68, caught in the act of the crime of possession and cultivation of narcotic substances. The operation is part of a vast crime-fighting activity conducted by the agents of the local police station aimed at preventing and repressing drug dealing in the area. On this occasion, the agents of the Marsala Police Station carried out a search at the house of the arrested person located in C.da Baronazzo Amafi following which, inside an uncovered farmhouse - equipped with a brick fence and the whose access was permitted through a wooden door with closure secured by a padlock - n. 45 seedlings of "cannabis indica" grown inside the nursery. Furthermore, in the surrounding land, always available to RF, further numbers were planted. 90 plants of the same species, having different heights, between 40 and 80 cm., regularly irrigated and in an excellent state of vegetation. Everything was seized. Once the flagrant crime was recorded, RF was declared under arrest for the crime of possession and illicit cultivation of narcotic substances and taken to the offices of the PS Commissariat for the ritual formalities, upon completion of which the man was taken to his home and placed under house arrest there, as ordered by the Judicial Authority. As a result of a "plea bargain", the man was sentenced to an eight-month prison sentence and a 2000 euro fine.
