Trapani, escapes from house arrest: sentenced to 1 year in prison

Trapani, the Carabinieri of the Trapani Borgo Annunziata station, in execution of the order of subjection to the alternative measure of home detention issued by the Surveillance Court of Palermo, arrested AS, a 65-year-old from Trapani.
In particular, the man, due to previous crimes against property and repeated criminal violations of the Highway Code, had already been subjected to house arrest in the past. While he was subjected to this precautionary measure, the Carabinieri, who constantly verify the correct implementation of judicial measures, found that the man had left his home without justified reason. On that occasion, the Carabinieri personnel had charged the 65-year-old with the crime of evasion following which he was found guilty and sentenced to 1 year in prison by the magistrates of the Court of Trapani.
By virtue of the order carried out by the Carabinieri of the station, the man will serve this sentence confined to his home
