The Carabinieri of Bra have executed a precautionary custody order for possession of 14kg of marijuana.

A 38-year-old of Albanian nationality, long resident in Bra and burdened by various police records, was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Bra Company, in execution of a precautionary custody order in prison, issued by GIP of the Court of Asti at the request of the local public prosecutor's office, for the crimes of possession of narcotic substances for the purposes of dealing and receiving stolen goods.
On 27 April last year, during a reconnaissance for a judicial sale, the officers of the Municipal Police of Bra found, in a garage in Piazza Martiri delle Foibe, a stolen car and three bags containing a total of 14 kg. of marijuana.
The investigations subsequently conducted by the Carabinieri of the Operational Division of the Bra Company, also through accurate technical surveys, made it possible to demonstrate that both the car and the narcotic were available to the arrested person, who yesterday, 15 January, he was taken from his home, where he was subjected to another home coercive measure, and was transferred to the Asti prison. It is important to highlight how the precautionary measure does not certify the guilt of the arrested person, who must, therefore, be considered innocent until a final conviction is issued.
The arrest confirms the action to combat the dealing of any type of narcotic carried out synergistically by the Carabinieri coordinated in the investigations by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
