Taranto, dealing sitting on a chair near an underground: 46-year-old convicted felon arrested by the State Police
Taranto, another arrest for drug dealing by the Hawks of the Flying Squad who, thanks to their knowledge of the area and the widespread nature of the observation and prevention services of crime linked to "small drug dealing", dismantled a drug dealing square in the Paolo VI district.
Near an underground area of the so-called Leone complex, already the subject of specific anti-drug operations in the past, the Hawks noticed the presence of a known 46-year-old criminal resident in Statte who, still sitting on the chair, continued to welcome young people, presumable buyers of the narcotic substance.
One of the movements that aroused the most suspicion among the police was linked to the circumstance that, upon the arrival of known drug addicts, the criminal approached a water pipe on the external right side of the building and fiddled there, before returning to his place.
Yesterday afternoon, the Hawks decided to clarify the situation: during the stakeout they noticed that several times, when the "customers" arrived, the 46-year-old took something from the hiding place and then immediately gave it to the buyer.
Stuck in yet another exchange, the Hawks proceeded to search the personnel and the premises, finding, stuck between the water pipe and the wall, two large wrappers containing 26 doses of cocaine, ready to be sold, with a total weight of approximately 6 grams.
Inside a metal box, also located in the basement, the police found and seized the sum of 120 euros, divided into small denomination banknotes, as presumable proceeds of the illicit activity discovered shortly before.
The 46-year-old was arrested for drug dealing.
