Sirmione, possessed false ARPA and Local Police cards, arrested by the Carabinieri

Sirmione, During an ordinary control of the territory, the crew of the Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Desenzano del Garda, while passing through European Community of Sirmione, noticed a person walking near a scooter in a suspicious manner. Having approached to subject him to the check, the man suddenly got on board the motorcycle and, after suddenly turning it on, attempted to quickly escape and also tried to run over the soldiers. Once the usual checks had been carried out, the subject, a fifty-year-old Italian without a fixed address, was subjected to a personal and vehicle search from which complete burglary and robbery equipment was found and seized. The 25 finds, in fact, range from two battery-powered hoses for cutting metal, to a large screwdriver, to a pickaxe but also to two anti-aggression spray guns, a two-way radio and a false license plate. A detail that is being investigated is the discovery of two false cards that the subject had with him and which he repeatedly tried to get rid of during his escape: one as a local police inspector and one as an ARPA representative. These documents, with his false photo and personal details, could have been used in scams against the elderly, facts for which the necessary investigations are being carried out. Approximately 80 euros in coins that he had with him finally require us to also investigate possible thefts from parking meters and various vending machines. Arrested, he was held in the security rooms of the Carabinieri Company in Desenzano del Garda until this morning when the Judge of the Court of Brescia validated his arrest.
