Sicily, NAS inside pharmacies, parapharmacies and analysis laboratories: fines of more than 15 thousand euros.

In the last 4 weeks the soldiers of the NAS of Palermo with the support of the Territorial Army, as part of the services arranged by the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Health, have carried out a series of checks at pharmacies, parapharmacies and analysis laboratories in the provinces of Palermo, Trapani and Agrigento.
During the service, 56 structures were inspected, with the aim of verifying compliance with the regulations for combating the "Covid-19" virus and safety in the workplace.
The results of the checks led to the adoption of of administrative sanctions for a total of Euro 4 and the consequent reports to the competent health authorities, following the contested violations, in this case in relation to:

to. Workshops for:

• incorrect identification and registration in the regional IT platform of the data of the subjects subjected to analysis;
• failure to adopt suitable PPE when carrying out rapid antigen tests for the detection of the sars-cov-2 antigen;

b. Pharmacies and parapharmacies for:

• having subjected minors to the administration of rapid antigen tests for the detection of the sars-cov-2 antigen without having previously had their parents sign informed consent;
• not having ensured the administration of antigen tests according to the methods established by the memorandum of understanding;
• having dispensed drugs with the obligation to present a prescription to patients without a medical prescription;
• failure to possess compulsory medicinal drugs;
• violation of the duties of custody of narcotic drugs, which were placed under administrative seizure.
