Scicli, Ragusa. 35-year-old arrested for stalking and resisting a public official. 

On the morning of March 7, the local Tenenza Carabinieri carried out an attackexecution of an execution order for imprisonment, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office - Criminal Enforcement Office - at the Court of Ragusa, against a 35-year-old local man, married, unemployed and with numerous police records against him.

The subject of operational interest, known to the soldiers operating in the territory of the jurisdiction of the Carabinieri Company of Modica, was responsible for the crime of persecutory acts from July to September 2019, in the Ispicese city area, as well as the crime of resisting a public official during 2020 in the Scicli area; in the latter case, the specific aggravating circumstance was recognized by the competent Prosecutor's Office.

The man, following the rejection by the Surveillance Court of Catania of the request for custody, home detention and semi-freedom, after having completed the necessary formalities, he was taken to the prison in Ragusa, where he will serve a sentence of 1 year, 6 months and 23 days of imprisonment.

The weapon's operational tool has had its positive effects since, once again, the constant prevention and repression activity, which is carried out above all in the most sensitive areas of the territory, has made it possible to bring the criminal to justice.
