Sassari, the photo traps find 76 uncivilized people

Almost all of them against door-to-door users who threw waste into bins and residents of nearby municipalities

Sassari, they continue controls against uncivilized people who do not respect the rules on the correct disposal of waste, causing economic and image damage to the entire community, making the city dirty. In recent days, the Environmental Police unit of the Via Carlo Felice Command viewed 83.528 frames of the camera traps purchased by the Environment sector and was able to identify 76 people committing environmental crimes. Most of the sanctions were imposed on residents of nearby municipalities who came to Sassari to abandon their waste (25 fines) and on Sassari residents who benefit from the door-to-door collection service but who decide to put it in street bins (29 fines). ). An administrative offense that causes damage to environmental decorum and to the entire community: by occupying the space intended for citizens who live in those areas, the containers are effectively overloaded and can no longer be used by those who have the right to them, even uncivilized they don't leave their waste on the ground.

There have also been numerous sanctions against non-domestic users who also fill the bins intended for residents instead of using the door-to-door service dedicated to them. Also in this case a serious lack of respect towards the community. Of the five deposits on the ground captured by the camera traps, almost all were made by traders, in addition to three high fines for placing them in street bins by the same categories.

Fourteen waste was delivered in black bags (prohibited by current legislation).

Finally, the local police, again thanks to photo traps, managed to find the perpetrators of an illegal landfill created in an area of Sant'Orsola, almost in the open countryside, which had been under control for some time due to the indiscriminate abandonment of waste.

In total, there were six streets in which the photo traps were positioned. The photo traps, capable of shooting at high resolution both day and night, make it very easy to identify the license plate of the vehicle in which people arrive and also their physiognomy. Every week the agents of the environmental unit of the local police establish where to place them: whether to leave them in the same areas or to move them, based on the reports received by the Command.
