Sassari, 9 minors are dealing drugs at school: an educational path established by Usma is foreseen.

The local police of Sassari carried out an important judicial police activity aimed at preserving the health and safety of teenage students who attend schools in the municipal area which led to the reporting of nine young people, all involved in drug dealing activities in schools. In recent days, six of them, residing in three municipalities in the hinterland and in the city, were notified of precautionary measures by the local police themselves. The six minors will have to respect the obligation to stay at home between 18pm and 6am, they will not be able to frequent entertainment venues, they will not be able to communicate with each other, they have been included in an educational path which will be defined by the USMA juvenile services at the Juvenile Court of Sassari. The precautionary measure of staying at home was applied to a minor.

The activity, developed under the direction of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court, was started on the initiative of school managers who repeatedly reported to the agents of the Via Carlo Felice Command the behavior of some students who showed inattention during lessons. and drowsiness.

The investigations began in January and were carried out through a control activity carried out by agents of the urban security unit, also carried out with the support of micro-cameras, through which relevant evidential elements were collected. Everything took place in a quarter of an hour: between 7,55 and 8,10 the young people involved arrived in the city from the hinterland, by public transport. During two months of daily checks, a frenetic drug dealing activity was documented, characterized by the sale of narcotic substances after the delivery of money, which involved students aged between fourteen and eighteen.

The exchange between the banknotes and the narcotic substance took place punctually, daily. Some young people consumed it on the street, others headed to school with the substance hidden in their backpacks.

The most dynamic kids in the drug dealing are aged between fourteen and sixteen, while among the consumers there are even younger kids.

During the investigations, all the moments and ways in which this phenomenon developed were documented, even revealing that the most unscrupulous young people used the so-called grinder in broad daylight to chop up the grass.

The activities aimed at the protection of very young people represent for this Administration a central point and a priority for the local police which operates in the interest of the community and which aims to protect the weakest people, in this case the students.

This operation demonstrates the collaboration between this Administration and the educational institutions, teachers, families, through which the planning and implementation of shared actions can be achieved, which start from the strengthening of the culture of legality, aimed at creating awareness of the risks in the new generations resulting from deviant conduct, consumption and dealing of narcotic substances.
