Rome, Tennis Internationals and skyrocketing ticket prices: street vendors fined 50.000 euros. An illegal nightclub seized.

Administrative checks by the State Police: following nightlife checks, an illegal nightclub in the Tusculan area was seized; During the coverage of the Tennis Internationals, 2 men were caught red-handed trying to sell tickets at increased prices and several street vendors were fined 50 euros during the Roma-Bayer Leverkusen match.

The administrative prevention activity conducted by the State Police in the capital, both during the checks carried out in the city's nightlife areas and on the occasion of major sporting events, has led in recent days to the seizure of an illegal disco, to the contestation of numerous offenses linked to touting and sales outside the boundaries of the so-called anti-glass prefectural ordinances during tennis internationals and the Europa League semi-final.

Over the past weekend, the agents of the Administrative Division and the Tuscolano police station monitored an unusual coming and going of people in what, legally, had to be an association with cultural and pedagogical purposes. The police, already outside the venue, found many people in line and a security guard; inside, in approximately 200 square metres, in an environment devoid of any means of fire prevention and set up with dilapidated and highly flammable furnishings, about a hundred people were dancing to the rhythm of the music of a DJ equipped with lights and consoles. Considering the absence of any type of authorization for the activity that was actually taking place, the police seized the place and affixed the relevant seals.

On the days in which the BNL d'Italia tennis internationals took place at the Foro Italico, the agents of the Administrative Division carried out various checks to combat the phenomenon of touting; 10 tickets were seized from 2 men, who were already known to the police themselves for similar events, while they were trying to sell them at a higher price to some foreign fans. In addition to the seizure of the tickets, the two were fined a total of more than 2 thousand euros.

On the occasion of the Roma-Bayer Leverkusen match, however, the Prefecture had issued an order prohibiting the sale of alcohol in glass bottles; it was always the agents of the Administrative Division who accused a street vendor of violating this ordinance. On the same evening, numerous other administrative seizures of various goods were also carried out, illegally marketed by street vendors, with the subsequent challenge of the related administrative sanctions for a total amount of approximately 50 thousand euros.
