Rome, minor robbed peers by threatening them: subjected to arrest by the State Police

Rome had become the nightmare of young people who found themselves passing through or near the FM3 Monte Mario station.

The accurate and decisive investigations by the investigators of the XIV Primavalle District, directed by Tiziana Lorenzo, made it possible to tighten the circle and arrest a minor of the Roma ethnic group responsible for various criminal acts.

In particular, last March 29, the police, during a stakeout near the railway station, noticed a singular gathering of young people around others, just at the moment in which a train was leaving and, having recognized one of these for having seen him in the images from video surveillance systems referring to another robbery stopped him. His accomplices instead managed to slip away and escape, taking advantage of the fact that the police were busy containing the resistance put up by the arrested person during the check.

The boy, still a minor, was placed under arrest as a suspect in the crime.

Having informed the Prosecutor at the Juvenile Court, he ordered his accompaniment to a first reception center awaiting a validation hearing following which, the Judge, having assessed the serious accusation against him, ordered for him that was associated with the Penal Institute for Juveniles of Casal del Marmo.

The boy, with a police record for predatory crimes committed even with false personal details, will have to answer for aggravated robbery and resisting a public official.

The minor was recently released from prison for having committed a robbery against one of his peers in March 2020.

In both robberies the young criminal had threatened the victims by showing them a gun kept in the waistband of his trousers.

Investigations continue to establish whether he is responsible for other robberies.
