Rome. “High Impact” interforce service in the Porta Maggiore area: 208 people identified, 129 vehicles and 3 commercial businesses checked. A 29-year-old woman arrested for drug dealing.

The policemen of the Commissariat, of the Crime Prevention Department, together with the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza, personnel of the Roma Capitale Local Police and of the ASL Roma2, with the help of the anti-drug dog unit of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, carried out a high-impact service, organized by the Rome Police Headquarters, in the Porta Maggiore area.

The checks, carried out across the entire area, were aimed at combating phenomena linked to bad nightlife, to prevent and repress crimes related to drug dealing and those of a predatory nature, to raise the perception of safety in the area.

During the activity they were a total of 208 people were identified, of which 24 foreign citizens, 129 vehicles and 3 businesses were checkedthe; in particular, in all three commercial food and drink supply activities, during administrative inspections, the agents found serious hygienic and health conditions, seizing a total of approximately 170 kg of food goods; for these reasons, thanks to the help of ASL staff, the owners were fined an amount of 9.809 euros.

As part of the extraordinary control service of the territory, in via Pietro Rovetti, investigators found a 29-year-old Ukrainian woman in possession of approximately 28 grams of hashish, divided into several doses, of a knife and 500 euros in cash, while he was working at a telephone shop; furthermore, during a check carried out at her home, the operators found a block weighing approximately 100 grams of the same substance.

The 29-year-old was arrested because she was seriously suspected of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs and the Judicial Authority validated the actions of the police.

In any case, the suspect is to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings or that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
