Reggio Calabria, can't afford drugs for her mother: the police buy them in a gesture of solidarity.
It is the evening of New Year's Eve, when the call arrives at the Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Reggio Calabria from a man who, declaring that he is paying serious economic difficulties, reported that he was unable to purchase regularly prescribed medications for his own health sick mother.
From the apprehensive tone with which the man communicated his discomfort, the station operator did not waste a moment and sent a police patrol to the man's house to ascertain the situation.
The military personnel, who shortly after arrived at the man's home and driven by a profound spirit of solidarity and closeness, they went to the nearest pharmacy and purchased the drugs prescribed to the woman and, in a nearby commercial establishment, even some foodstuffs to ensure you both have a hot meal for the evening.
