In particular, in recent days, the Carabinieri of the Vittoria Company have carried out wide-ranging territorial control services, in the territory of Municipality of Vittoria and Chiaramonte Gulfi, also with the support of the specialized personnel of the Carabinieri Cacciatori Helicopter Squadron of “Sicilia”.

The preventive services carried out by the Carabinieri have also allowed trace an Albanian citizen, identified as MA, cl.79, who was found to be the recipient of an Order for the application of the precautionary measure in prison, issued by the Court of Appeal of Catania, aimed at extradition. The measure originates from a robbery with multiple aggravating circumstances committed by the man in March 2003 in the Ipparino area. MA, after being secured by the military, was accompanied to the offices for identification procedures, after which he was transferred to the Ragusa prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.

The soldiers of the Carabinieri station Vittoria, together with personnel from the Carabinieri Cacciatori Helicopter Squadron of “Sicilia”, based on information acquired from territorial control activities, they paid attention to a farmhouse owned by OF, a 85 class Vittoria. The Carabinieri then decided to carry out further investigations inside the building where they found 23 bullets of different calibers which were subsequently seized. The man, at the end of the investigations at his property, he was reported at liberty for illegal possession of ammunition since he had it in his possession without having reported it to the Authority as required by law.
