Ragusa: Carabinieri arrest 28-year-old Albanian for robbery and personal injury

The Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Ragusa Company, with the air support of the 12th Carabinieri Helicopter Nucleus of Fontanarossa and the use of the Carabinieri dog units stationed in Nicolosi, in the early hours of the morning of November 5th executed an order of pre-trial detention in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Ragusa following the investigations that led to the identification of a young Albanian as responsible for a beating which occurred near Piazza San Giovanni on the eve of last August 15th.

The young man, with a criminal record for drug dealing offences, who was in the company of other compatriots that evening, would have a man was attacked for reasons presumably attributable to that criminal context and, after having violently beaten, he allegedly stole his cell phone, house keys and wallet. Rescued at the Ragusa hospital for first aid, the man, in front of the Carabinieri who immediately started the investigations, would have recognized his attacker in the images of the urban video surveillance systems present in the area where the events took place, thanks to which it was possible to complete reconstruction of the dynamics of the attack.

In this circumstance, the Carabinieri promoted a series of searches, personal and house-based, aimed at recovery of narcotic substances, which allowed the recovery of a large quantity of hashish, a precision scale and a sum of money composed of numerous small denomination banknotes, all available to one of the brothers of the arrested man.

For the 28-year-old Albanian, who will have to answer before the Iblea justice system for the crimes he is accused of, at the end of the photo-signalling operations, the doors of prison have opened, where he will remain waiting to be heard by the magistrates.
