Porto Mantovano (Mantua), the Carabinieri subject a person to special surveillance by Public Safety

Although he is 33 years old, he has a very respectable judicial record. Despite the fact that in 2020 he had been notified of the provision of the Oral Notice, issued by the Police Chief of the province of Mantua, the subject continued undaunted to commit crimes and to frequent people with criminal records, also contravening the preventive measure of the Oral Warning.

The 33-year-old resident of the municipality of Porto Mantovano, with his behavior and actions, has shown himself inclined to commit crimes, highlighting a particular aptitude for those against property and the person, assuming attitudes of contempt towards the Police and the provisions of the Authority.

Given the current and concrete risk of the same person repeating the commission of other crimes, the Carabinieri of the Porto Mantovano Station have asked the Surveillance Court of Brescia to issue the provision of the preventive measure of Special Surveillance. The Court, agreeing with the proposal put forward by the Carabinieri, issued this provision for a duration of 1 year and 6 months, as well as the obligation for the person under special surveillance to report to the Carabinieri Station every two weeks.

The preventive measure of Special Surveillance is included among the personal preventive measures. It consists of the obligation to prevent certain individuals, suspected of having contacts with common or organised crime, from being regular visitors to people or environments where crime is common, from having contact with other criminals or from frequenting such places. It applies to individuals who have already received the Oral Notice but who have not accepted the Police Commissioner's invitation to change their conduct and lifestyle.

Special Public Security Surveillance is accompanied by a series of requirements that must be followed in order to demonstrate the change in lifestyle. The person under special surveillance is required to seek stable work, to establish a home and not to leave it between the hours of 21:7,00 p.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX a.m., to respect the Laws and to live honestly, and not to give rise to suspicion.

The application of this measure involves the revocation of the passport and driving license for the entire duration of the measure, and the impossibility of obtaining any license since the person under surveillance is only authorized to work as an employee. Obviously, it is forbidden to possess weapons, binoculars or night vision goggles, and not to participate in public meetings of any kind..
