Pistoia, causes drunken accident and runs away.

Pistoia. On the night between Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July, around 2.30 am, on viale Adua, at the intersection with via San Biagio in Cascheri, a automobilista – later found to be intoxicated – violently hits a motorbike, causing serious injuries to the driver, and then ran away without providing help.

The municipal police patrol intervened at the scene of the accident, thanks to the information gathered from some witnesses present, succeeds to track him down. But him, at the sight of the officers, he runs away again.

The man he is stopped after a short chase and then accompanied to the headquarters in via Pertini.

The driver, having admitted his responsibilities, was subjected to an alcohol test. Thus, a blood alcohol level of 1,41 g/l was recorded, which determined the driving license withdrawal. 

The man was then referred to the Judicial Authority for failure to rescue, escape following a road accident with injuries and driving while intoxicated.
