Pisa, checks in the center and station area: three premises sanctioned.

Yesterday afternoon and until after dinner time, with the use of patrols from the State Police, the Guardia di Finanza and the Municipal Police, the Police Headquarters of Pisa has coordinated an extraordinary territorial control service, aimed at preventing phenomena of petty crime, drug dealing and any other conduct that could endanger public order and safety.

Pay attention as usual to the historic center and the train station district.

Three activities sanctioned

During the investigation, 27 people were identified and 17 commercial businesses were checked, including 3 catering businesses, 4 accommodation facilities and 10 commercial activities.

The owner of a Kebab was sanctioned for having contravened an ordinance of the mayor of Pisa for the correct placement and maintenance of light sources; an ethnic restaurant was fined for a similar violation; another restaurant establishment was fined for not having correctly displayed the prices charged in the establishment; finally, a bakery was fined for violating the legislation on the issuing of receipts. The total fines amount to 1.700 euros.

Evening checks

Furthermore, from a criminal point of view, at 17.30 pm a 22-year-old Tunisian, illegal on the national territory, was checked under the porticoes of Viale Gramsci, who the Operations Room verified had an expulsion order issued by the Rome Police Commissioner against him in the database. , which he had not complied with. Therefore he was accompanied to the police station, where a complaint was formalized against him to the judicial authority for this non-compliance, and expulsion procedures from EU territory were started.

In succession, just before 20pm, another Tunisian man, 21 years old, was identified in a suspicious attitude on the same site. At the sight of the policemen he resisted and tried to escape, but was blocked and taken to the police station, where he was searched with negative results, subjected to ritual photo-tagging and finally reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of resisting a public official.
