Pescara, unauthorized fireworks on the southern coast: the police report a man

Pescara, yesterday evening, the Administrative Team of the Administrative and Social Police Division together with a crew of the flying squad, intervened in a factory in the southern seafront area of Pescara following numerous reports received at 113: the people who were calling the emergency number of the State Police, said they had heard loud explosions coming from the area close to the seaside facilities on the southern coast.

The staff managed to identify the perpetrator RS, aged 35, who was found in possession of a homemade mortar approximately 75 cm high that was still smoking. The young man justified himself to the officers by reporting that he had done it to anticipate the communion celebrations of his son present with his mother and some friends inside the establishment.

The owner of the establishment declared himself surprised by the gesture of the customer who has been frequenting the beach for some time.

The personnel involved proceeded to seize the mortar and report the young man responsible for the crime of dangerous ignition and explosions, pursuant to art. 703 of the penal code. Among other things, the fireworks were set off in a state-owned area where it is not possible, at certain times, to enter without authorization and, in all probability, the firecracker lit on the beach was of an artisanal type which could be managed only by qualified personnel with the authorization of the Public Security Authority.

Investigations are underway to trace the perpetrators of similar episodes that occurred in recent days, again in the same area of the city.
