Perugia: attacks health personnel, 38-year-old arrested by Carabinieri

The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Perugia Company have in 38 year old Italian arrested in flagrante delicto, held responsible for personal injuries to healthcare professionals.

The intervention was triggered by a call to the Single Emergency Number – NUE – 112, in which a argument between two subjects. Once they reached the indicated location, the Carabinieri immediately proceeded to identify one of the two men involved. During the identification, the military learned that the medical personnel, who in the meantime were going to the location on board an ambulance, had been victim of an attack.

According to the reconstruction, in fact, the ambulance crew, while heading towards the location of the report, noticed a man lying on the ground. Believing that he was the person who needed help, the paramedics rushed to stopped to provide assistance, but were suddenly attacked by the same person, who caused minor injuries to two 118 service operators.

The Carabinieri, together with personnel from the Perugia Police Headquarters who came to assist, managed to block the subject responsible for the attack, who was then declared in a state of arrest for the aforementioned crime hypothesis.

The Judge of the Court of Perugia has the arrest was validated, applying the precautionary measure to the interested party of the obligation to reside in the municipality of residence located along the Lazio coast.
