Oristano: he attacks his brother and tries to strangle him, 30-year-old arrested.

Following a request received on the emergency number "112", the soldiers of the Carabinieri Company of Ghilarza (OR) intervened in a house in the small city center where a violent attack by a 30-year-old man against his cohabiting brother was underway arresting the attacker for Attempted Murder (Articles 56, 575 of the Criminal Code) and Resisting a Public Official (Article 337 of the Criminal Code).

In the circumstance the man, after having had an initial fight with his brother for trivial reasons, during which he attempted to strangle him, was found by the patrol who intervened inside the bathroom of the house in a clear state of psychophysical alteration attributable to alcoholic intoxication .

The same man, at the sight of his brother, became furious again, reiterating the violence towards him and also lashing out towards the Carabinieri who, before definitively immobilizing him, were also attacked, fortunately remaining unharmed.

The arrested person was associated with the Oristano - Massama prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority while awaiting the validation hearing at the Court of Oristano.

The measure carried out is a pre-precautionary measure implemented on the initiative of the Judicial Police during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipient of it is a person subjected to investigations and, therefore, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
