National Missing Persons Day: Remembrance, Prevention, and Solidarity

Il 13th December was established National day dedicated to missing persons, a moment of reflection, memory and solidarity To all those who have not returned to their families and to those who, every day, live the anguish of waiting. On this occasion, the Special Government Commissioner for Missing Persons makes an appeal to institutions, local authorities, third sector associations and civil society as a whole, so that they unite in a collective effort for remember, not forget and support the hope of recovery.

The day represents a concrete sign of closeness to families, often marked by a silent and prolonged pain, and aims to keep public attention high on a phenomenon that requires collaboration, sensitivity and timeliness. To strengthen the actions of prevention and support, the Office of the Commissioner has prepared dedicated information materials, including a brochure aimed at people with cognitive impairment.
