Naples: “TRUCK & BUS”, checks on trucks and buses.

Checks on trucks and buses that will travel on the Campania and Basilicata motorway sections called “truck & bus”.
The initiative, which involves all the countries of the European Union as well as Switzerland, Serbia and Turkey, aims to standardize controls and improve road safety with the objective of raising road safety standards, harmonizing prevention, information and control activities in order to reduce the number of road victims and road accidents.

The aim of the “truck & bus” campaign in question is to intensify checks carried out by the Traffic Police throughout Europe on heavy goods vehicles, buses and vehicles intended for the transport of dangerous goods, whether registered nationally or foreignly.

The Highway Patrol officers have proceeded and will proceed to verify the psychophysical state of the drivers, compliance with speed limits, ADR regulations on the transport of dangerous goods and all other provisions on road transport provided for by national and community legislation.

To this end, the Highway Police Department for Campania and Basilicata has set up, for the period indicated above, targeted control services for heavy goods vehicles and buses in the territory under its jurisdiction.
