Naples, three arrests for aggravated robberies in post offices: caught by surveillance systems.

By delegation of the Acting Public Prosecutor of Naples, we inform you that on Monday morning the State Police executed a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Naples, against three criminals considered seriously suspected of having committed, in collaboration with each other and with another person being identified, two aggravated robberies committed on 12 and 21 January 2022 to the detriment of as many Post Offices located, respectively, in this Piazza Domenico Fontana and in this Piazza Mazzini, taking away cash contained in the speakers.
In particular, in the first circumstance the perpetrators of the robbery had acted by making it clear that they were armed; in the second they had threatened the employees by pointing a gun. In both cases the perpetrators of the crimes would have used motor vehicles to which counterfeit license plates were affixed, misrepresenting themselves with a mask and hat, acting in the presence of employees and customers, creating considerable fear.
The investigations were carried out through the analysis of the videos extracted from the internal and external video surveillance cameras of the post offices and other public and private businesses as well as the frames obtained from the so-called "license plate capture" CDs placed along the route traveled by the criminals before and after the commission of crimes.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipient of the same is a person subjected to investigations and therefore presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
