Naples, the Police continues the fight against the abandonment of urban waste: 15 violations found

Naples, activities continue in the area also with plainclothes agents from the environmental protection departments and the territorial operational unit of Soccavo, in collaboration with army crews from the land of fires sector, aimed at the prevention and repression of illicit abandonments and waste fires. The latest arson incident in Via Spadari, on which investigations are being carried out, dates back to yesterday.
In recent days the joint activity was mainly dedicated to controlling the disposal of urban waste by citizens and traders in the internal and perimeter streets of the Pianura district, carrying out 45 checks and finding 15 violations; for two violations in particular the complaint was triggered for the disposal after hours and for the disposal of unsorted waste, furthermore two other violations were ascertained for the abandonment by citizens of bulky items on the pavement on via Padula. Offenses are sanctioned with an administrative fine of 500 euros.
This morning, control activities were also carried out on the transport of waste, intercepting vehicles for the transport of goods and waste, checking 25 vehicles and imposing four fines under the Highway Code for irregularities relating to inspections and one relating to the incorrect compilation of the waste transport document.
