In the morning of 20th July, agents of the San Ferdinando police station and personnel of the Port Authority – Naples Coast Guard – PG Unit carried out an extraordinary service aimed at combating abusive phenomena on maritime state property in the area of Mergellina and Luise Pier. Specifically, the operators discovered that a state-owned area on the quay of the Mergellina marina had been occupied illegally by two men who used it as a logistical base for thepleasure boat rental business. Therefore, two Neapolitans aged 28 and 65 were reported, according to the provisions of the Navigation Code, for abusive use of the temporary navigation authorization, illegal occupation of state-owned space and failure to comply with limits on private property, while the illegally occupied area was subjected to seizure.
Also on Thursday 20 July, at approximately 11:00 am, during the Extraordinary territorial control services at the Napoli Centrale railway station and neighboring areas with “High Impact” mode, i policemen from the Central Naples Operations Department, they noticed, in the center of the gallery of the aforementioned station, a man who had suspiciously hidden something in his hands. Indeed, the operators' intuition found positive confirmation since, after being checked, the man was found in possession of a 16cm long switchblade. The accused, a 62 year old Neapolitan, pluri-prejudiced, was stopped and taken to the offices where further investigations were carried out, following which the man was also burdened with an execution order for imprisonment with a simultaneous suspension decree for a 1 year sentence 6 months of imprisonment. At the end of the ritual formalities it was reported for carrying weapons or objects capable of offending; the knife was seized and made available to the AG
