Naples, 5 arrested for international trafficking: 196kg of drugs, 650 thousand euros and 9 weapons seized

Naples, the State Police and the Financial Police of Naples, as part of joint initiative activities in the anti-drug sector, have arrested, between Giugliano in Campania (NA) and Marano (NA), 5 subjects suspected of various possession title for the purpose of dealing drugs and weapons.

Seized overall by the Flying Squad and GICO. of Naples 150 kg of cocaine, 46 kg of hashish, 9 guns with related ammunition, tools for packaging the narcotic substance and over 650.000 euros in cash.

More in detail, two of the arrested men were caught in the garage of the home of a third accomplice while they were loading 100 blocks of cocaine for a total weight of approximately 105 kg into compartments created in the spare wheel compartment of two cars. kg.

The search carried out at the home of a fourth associate then brought to light, hidden under the floor of his garage, a trapdoor with opening controlled by a hydraulic system, inside which another 47 bricks of cocaine were discovered and seized for a total weight of approximately 43 kg.

The simultaneous search of the property of a fifth member of the organization led to the discovery of 46 kg of hashish, 2 kg of cocaine, 6 semi-automatic pistols and related ammunition, 3 revolvers with abraded serial number, 12 magazines, 543 handgun ammunition , numerous molds for affixing brands to drug packages, a press and other tools for drug packaging.

Also in this case the "material" was found inside a compartment created in a trap door hidden under the floor of the garage and accessible via a controlled hydraulic opening system.

During the searches, a similar false bottom was found inside the car of a sixth individual which, together with other clues, led to his being criminally charged for the same crime.

Finally, the search of the home of a seventh member, carried out with the help of the Naples Fire Brigade, also brought to light a "hidden" system hidden under the floor of the basement, which gave access to a trap door to the inside which 62 cellophane wrappers containing banknotes of various denominations were found and seized, for a total sum of 650.690 euros, as well as 2 "banknote counting" machines.
