A family tragedy has shocked the small town of Nole Canavese, in the province of Turin, where a 30-year-old mother, Carola, drowned her 10-month-old daughter, Perla, in the bathtub, and then attempted suicide. The one who discovered the horror was Antonio Parrinello, Perla's father, 35 years old. Returning home for lunch shortly before 13 pm, he found the little girl lifeless in the bathtub and his wife injured, with cuts to her neck, chest and wrists. Desperate, Antonio tried to revive his daughter while calling for help, but the attempts of the 118 paramedics were unable to revive the little girl's heartbeat.
