In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Scicli Tenenza have arrested, during a normal territorial control service, also aimed at verifying compliance with the requirements for house prisoners, a 23-year-old local man, cohabitant, worker and with numerous prejudices of police in charge.

The young man, authorized to move from the place of home detention only for work reasons and in certain time slots, was not at his home at the time of the control of the operators, thus incurring the crime of escape, punished pursuant to art. . 385 of the penal code.

Therefore, the military carried out the necessary checks in the database and through the Operations Center to ensure the absence of any authorizations to leave the place of interest; check which gave a negative result.

Once located, the interested party did not provide any justification nor showed the competent authorities official communications from the Judicial Authority.

Reason why, following the ritual formalities, the arrested person was subjected again to the same prison regime.

Following further assessments by the Syracuse Surveillance Office, the subject of operational interest, by virtue of the repeated violations committed, was the recipient of a more restrictive measure on personal freedom. This is why the home detention regime was suspended and the subject of operational interest was subsequently taken to the Ragusa prison.

The ability of the Army personnel to be constantly present in the territory of their jurisdiction, with their preventive and repressive services, has made it possible to detect a crime that has its effects on the quiet life of the citizens of the baroque city.
