In late afternoon di Tuesday July 4 the canine units of Making environment, specialized in detecting the presence of poisons or substances harmful in suspicious morsels of food taking care not to bite them, they will come into action in the green areas of via Saffi, Nenni and Gottardi, in Modena. The "reclamation” of the area was decided after the outcome of the analyzes conducted by the Zooprophylactic Institute of Emilia Romagna and Lombardy on behalf of the Veterinary Service of the Modena Local Health Authority showed confirmed the presence of rat poison in the morsels of meat found in the area over twenty days ago. On that occasion it was the network of the Neighborhood Control group in Via Araldi and Saffi that triggered the alarm by bringing directly, and with due caution, the meatballs collected in the ASL laboratories and alerting the local police.

While awaiting the outcome of the scientific analyses, the Command of via Galilei he therefore did place notices in the area to warn patrons and pet owners of potential danger; the rest was done by the "tam tom" of the Neighborhood Watch.
