Milano: extensive extraordinary control activity of the territory carried out by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command
The activities were carried out in the areas of greatest social aggregation with the aim of preventing widespread crime and urban decay, in particular in the fight against predatory crimes and those related to drugs.

From the 2 5 October, by order of the General Command of the Carabinieri, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Milano have carried out a broad extraordinary control activities of the territory through numerous external services, taking into account the plans adopted within the CPOSP chaired by the Prefect of Milano and in agreement with the Police Headquarters.
The activities were carried out in the areas of greatest social aggregation with the aim of prevent widespread crime and urban decay, particularly in the fight against predatory and drug-related crimes. These checks will be carried out continuously in an operational effort that will support the external projection of the patrols that patrol the city on foot, by car and by motorbike on a daily basis. The Provincial Command of Milano, also thanks to the intensification of the presence of the local Carabinieri and the numerous initiatives undertaken also in protection of the elderly and vulnerable groups (information activities and memoranda of understanding stipulated with local associations), is constantly engaged in enhancing the proximity and social reassurance function carried out by the force.
All services aim to increase the community's perception of safety, privileging contact, listening and closeness to citizens, public service employees and all traders. Numerous appreciations have already been received from citizens during the execution of the services.
In this context, compared to a daily average that sees the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Milano to express 450 external services and 350 prevention services, checking about 750 Guests e 410 vehicles, during the extraordinary control services of the territory, additional personnel were employed 235 Carabinieri of the Territorial Force and specialized units. Approximately 1,000 people were checked 1600 Guests, 6 arrested e 13 reported. They were also checked 408 vehicles e 24 public businesses.
In particular:
on the evening of October 2th the military of the Duomo Company, with the support of personnel from the Group Milano, of the 3rd Lombardy Regiment and of the 1st Piedmont Regiment, of the NAS of Milano and the Casatenovo (LC) dog unit, have patrolled the area of the Central Station, subjecting a total of 385 Guests and drawing in arrest, for the sale of narcotic substances, a 38-year-old Moroccan was caught in via San Gregorio while selling 3 doses of cocaine, for a total weight of approximately 1,5 grams, to a 42-year-old Italian, who in turn was reported to the administrative authority for possession of narcotic substances for personal use.
The Carabinieri also have reported at liberty for illegal possession of weapons or objects capable of offending a 19 year old Moroccan found in possession of a pair of shears and have reported a 26-year-old Afghan for illegal entry and residence in the national territory.
They were then reported to the prefectural authority for possession of narcotic substances for personal use, a 26-year-old Gambian found in possession of 1 gram of hashish and a 33-year-old Dutchman found in possession of 0.5 grams of hashish. They were also kidnapped, against unknown persons, 40 grams of hashish found by the canine unit near a public establishment.
During the same service, the military, with the specialist support of the Carabinieri of the NAS of Milano, have checked a total of 12 commercial establishments, including a restaurant in Via Sammartini, whose owner was administratively sanctioned for a total of 2000 euros for failure to comply with hygiene regulations and a bar in Via da Palestrina whose owner was reported to the ATS of Milano for failure to comply with hygiene regulations.
on the evening of October 3th the checks were concentrated, with the Carabinieri of the Porta Monforte Company and the support of personnel from the Groups of Milano and Rho, of the Operational Intervention Companies of the Lombardy and Piedmont Regiments, of the NAS of Milano and of the dog training unit of Orio al Serio (BG), in the neighbourhood of Milano Rogoredo.
The Carabinieri during the service have reported a 34-year-old Peruvian man was released for theft after being caught trying to leave a supermarket after stealing food and alcohol worth 150 euros. They were reported, furthermore, a 38-year-old Pakistani for illegal entry into the national territory, with the initiation of procedures for his expulsion, and a 40-year-old Italian for being caught in a state of manifest drunkenness on a public street.
They were then reported to the prefectural authority for possession of narcotic substances for personal use, a 25-year-old Romanian caught inside the station "Milano Rogoredo” in possession of a syringe containing a heroin-based mixture and an 18-year-old Egyptian in possession of approximately 3 grams of hashish. Furthermore, they were kidnapped approximately 46 grams of hashish found by the canine unit near a public establishment belonging to unknown persons.
Overall they were high fines to the highway code for a total of 536 € e a total of 402 people were monitored while the NAS Carabinieri reported to the ATS Milano, due to structural and hygienic deficiencies, the owners of a bar in via Piacenza and a bar/restaurant in via Tiraboschi.
during next evening of October 4th, still in the neighborhood of Milano Rogoredo, the Carabinieri, supported by specialized personnel, have reported a 33-year-old Romanian woman at liberty for failure to comply with the provisions of the prefectural authority, a 16-year-old Italian and a 22-year-old Senegalese for illegal possession of weapons since they were found in possession of a knuckle-duster and a knife hidden in a purse, respectively, a 32-year-old Italian for drunk driving and finally a 37-year-old Peruvian for personal injury and threats against a passer-by. During the same service, it was then reported also a 28 year old Senegalese because, subjected to a control while driving a car, he exhibited a driving licence which was found to be false.
They were also reported to the prefectural authority for possession for personal use of narcotic substances (hashish) a 20-year-old Egyptian caught in possession of 1,70 grams, a Cameroonian with 0,70 grams, a 26-year-old Egyptian with 3,50 grams, a 26-year-old Ecuadorian with 0,10 grams, a 22-year-old Italian with 1 gram, a 23-year-old Moroccan with 0,5 grams and a 42-year-old Egyptian with 0,5 grams and seized a total of approximately 78 grams of hashish were found by the canine unit near the railway station, belonging to unknown persons.Milano Rogoredo”, a 69-gram block of which bore the logo of a Spanish football team.
They were then raised fines to the highway code for a total of 312 € and a total of 378 people were checked, of which 209 were foreigners, 69 vehicles and 11 public establishments, of which a restaurant in via Ortica and a beauty centre in piazzale Cuoco were reported to the ATS of Milano due to structural and hygienic deficiencies and the second was also the subject of a closure proposal.
since afternoon of October 5th checks were carried out again in the area of the railway station Milano Central by the Carabinieri of the Company Milano Duomo with the support of the Lombardy and Piedmont Regiments and specialized NAS and dog handlers personnel during which controlled a total of 415 people, including 278 foreigners, and 134 vehicles.
The checks have led upon arrest for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing of a 19-year-old Egyptian checked inside a playground and found in possession of 5 packs of 28 tablets each, for a total of approximately 80 mg, of oxycodone and of two Italians aged 28 and 29 who, during a checkpoint conducted with the support of the canine unit, were caught in possession of 5,60 grams of marijuana, 2,24 grams of hashish, 1,4 grams of MDMA, 1,66 grams of Ketamine and 2,10 grams of Speed amphetamine and, following the subsequent house search, of a further 4,5 kg of marijuana, 1,4 grams of MDMA, 2,3 grams of Ketamine, 2,7 grams of hashish, the sum of 230 euros and various material for packaging and cutting the narcotic substance, all subjected to seizure.
They have also been arrested for the sale of narcotic substances, a 32-year-old Gambian was caught near the railway station Milano Central while he was selling 1.6 grams of hashish to a 30 year old Italian, who was reported to the administrative authority pursuant to art. 75 of Presidential Decree 309/90 and for a detention order a 58-year-old Italian man who was the recipient of a concurrent sentence enforcement order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Milano to serve a sentence of 4 years and 11 months of imprisonment for embezzlement and attempted money laundering, committed in Turin and Milano in 2017
During the same service the Carabinieri then released in a state of freedom for theft, a 28-year-old Libyan caught shortly after having stolen shoes and various clothes from a commercial establishment located near Piazza Duca d'Aosta and, with the support of NAS personnel, for sale of narcotic substances, a 74-year-old Italian woman, owner of a pharmacy in Via Farini, for having sold oxycodone, without a medical prescription, to the 19-year-old Egyptian arrested, for whom a request was also made to the ATS for suspension of the commercial establishment and revocation of the license.
