Milano, drug trafficking from Morocco and South America: Curva Sud ultras among those arrested

Milano, from the early hours of this morning, in the provinces of Milano, Bergamo, Lodi and Monza-Brianza, the State Police arrested, in execution of a precautionary measure issued by the GIP of Milano, following a request from the Deputy Prosecutor at the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano and activity coordinated by the Assistant Prosecutor, eight people seriously suspected, for various reasons and in concert, of importing large quantities of narcotic substances; among these some ultras and members of the Curva Sud. Three suspects were associated with the competent prisons, four under house arrest and one subjected to the obligation to report to the Judicial Police with a residence ban.

The investigative activity conducted by the policemen of the Homicide Section of the Flying Squad began following the attempted murder of Enzo Anghinelli, wounded in the head with a gunshot last 12 April 2019, while passing through via Cadore. During the investigations, MF's involvement in drug trafficking emerged, ultras of Curva Sud, already subjected to the administrative measure of DASPO, already arrested by the Flying Squad in March 2020: stopped while he was getting out of a car in which there was a double bottom and in possession of 300 grams of marijuana, another 4,5 were seized .9 kg of drugs and XNUMX thousand euros in a house in Capriano (MB).

Further investigations conducted by the State Police have highlighted serious indications relating to the involvement in drug trafficking of other people, including some belonging to the Curva Sud group. In particular, following the request for collaboration from the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano, through Eurojust, to the Spanish and French judicial authorities, investigative elements have emerged regarding the importation of large quantities of marijuana and hashish from Morocco, via Spain, and cocaine from South America.

The suspects communicated with each other, and with their suppliers, via mobile phones encrypted with Dutch telephone cards, with which they organized the delivery and related payment of the narcotic transported from Morocco to Italy on trucks and vans, hidden among foodstuffs, which was then delivered to the Milanese hinterland and then distributed to the final buyers.

Some of the recipients of the precautionary measure are accused of purchasing in South America, with payment made in Pedrengo (BG), 10 kg of cocaine seized at the Port of Santos (Brazil) on 22 April 2020, together with another 349 kg of cocaine found on board a cargo ship after the accidental breakage of one of the bags hidden in the "sea chest" of the same vessel.

Numerous searches are underway in homes linked to them located in the provinces of Milano, Bergamo, Lodi and Monza Brianza.
