Merano: they try to rob an employee of a bakery in the area. A 24-year-old and a 25-year-old arrested by the Carabinieri.

As part of the services arranged by the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri of Bolzano, Colonel Raffaele Rivola and aimed at fight against predatory crimes in the last few days the soldiers of the Merano Carabinieri Company managed to arrest two individuals already known to the police who, shortly before, they had attempted to rob a shop assistant.

The events occurred in the historic centre of Merano, at dawn, when an employee of a local bakery, during a delivery to a public establishment, he first surprised a stranger who was rummaging through the company van in an attempt to take possession of his fanny pack, then he was threatened from behind by his accomplice who was brandishing a large knife.

The two individuals they then abandoned their respective conduct and fled. on foot in the surrounding streets, while the driver promptly reported the incident to 112, providing a description of the criminals and, thanks to the timely arrival of the patrol, it was possible to trace them nearby.

The robbers, a 24-year-old Algerian and a 25-year-old Moroccan, of no fixed abode, were then taken to the Merano Carabinieri Company for the usual checks and, after having completed the required formalities, were arrested for attempted robbery shortly before committed and subsequently accompanied to the prison of Bolzano at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
