Mantua: Carabinieri carry out checks on the territory to combat any form of illegality

The territorial controls carried out by the Carabinieri of the Mantua Company continue.

On the afternoon of November 22, the military, as part of the shared services agreed upon by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, carried out a coordinated territory control service aimed at safety of urban areas and the fight against all forms of illegality, in order to increase citizens' perception of safety.

The service in question was carried out by 5 patrols of the Carabinieri both in uniform and in civilian clothes, and by 2 patrols of the Local Police of Mantua. The attention of the Carabinieri was particularly concentrated in the vicinity of the Ferri gallery, the “Esselunga” shopping area, the Nuvolari gardens and the gallery of the “Quattroventi” shopping centre in Curtatone.

They were checked in total 49 Guests, and 8 subjects aged between 19 and 52 years, They were reported to the local Prefecture as drug users.

The extraordinary service of territorial control has led to the total seizure of approximately 20 grams of “Hashish” and 2 2 joints already packaged with “Hashish”, substances found in the possession of the reported persons.

After personal search a foreigner of 26 years he was reported to the Judicial Authority because found in possession of a knife brought into a public place without justifiable reason.

A minor was reported to the competent Judicial Authority as he had at his disposal a moped found to be stolen. The same was reported for the crime of recipe.

The extraordinary territorial control services will continue in the next few days in the city parks and in places of youth gathering, in order to prevent and possibly repress the use and dealing of narcotic substances, as well as control illegal aliens in order to activate the expected expulsion procedures, in order to guarantee greater safety for citizens.

Similar services will also be carried out in the province of Mantua, in order to prevent the commission of crimes and to make the area outside large population centers safer, considering that the force is in contact with the people thanks to its widespread presence on the territory with the Carabinieri Stations.
