The staff of the Manduria police station, together with the crews of the Crime Prevention Department of Lecce and the dog lovers of the Polfrontiera of Brindisi, noticed a 32-year-old who, wandering around the park, had brief encounters with young people.
During the home search of the young man, who had already been arrested in the past for these drug crimes, the police first searched the rooms without any appreciable result, while, subsequently, becoming suspicious of a monitor which through the cameras kept the perimeter of the building under control the house and the terrace belonging exclusively to the house, decided to carry out a further check.
In a corner of the terrace, difficult to access because it was protected by architectural barriers, the police officers, with the important collaboration of the State Police dog handlers, managed to find a cellophane bag with a little less inside, under some old piled-up furnishings. of 15 grams of cocaine already packaged in doses, two and a half grams of marijuana and a precision scale in addition to everything necessary for packaging the drug in doses.
Not far away, the sniffer dog's nose also allowed it to recover a small jar with 24 grams of hashish.
Having sent the documents to the competent judicial authority, the 32-year-old was arrested and taken to the Taranto prison.
We reiterate that the principle of presumption of innocence applies to all suspects until the final sentence is reached.
