The 52-year-old, aboard his car, would have been involved in a road accident in the center of the Messapian town, but as soon as he learned that the owner of the other car involved was a Deputy Police Inspector free from duty, he would have gotten back on board the his car, disappearing through the streets of the centre.
The policeman had no choice but to alert his colleagues at the local police station who, after a few minutes, managed to intercept and block him.
The man immediately showed hostility towards the officers, resolutely refusing to hand over his identity documents.
The same man, in an attempt to walk away by threatening the policemen present, violently yanked them, so much so that one of them sprained his arm.
Brought back to calm with many difficulties, the 52-year-old was reported in a state of freedom.
