Livorno: the Carabinieri arrest a foreigner for attempted robbery in the centre.

The Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Livorno Company, in close synergy with their colleagues from the Livorno Center Station Command, following an intervention in a commercial business in the city centre, arrested a 26-year-old of Moroccan origins, resident in Piombino , for attempted robbery in collaboration with another compatriot also 26 years old, the latter reported in a state of freedom for the same crime.

The military intervened at the aforementioned business as shortly before, a man had entered the shop and had appropriated 170 euros from the cash register, taking advantage of the owner's temporary distraction. The latter, having noticed the theft, intervened to stop the criminal who pushed him in an attempt to escape, but managed to hold him back until the immediate intervention of the Carabinieri who definitively blocked and arrested him. The other accomplice, who acted as a "post" outside the shop, left before the arrival of the military and also thanks to the video surveillance cameras present in the area as well as an in-depth knowledge of the area and the subjects of interest operational, led to the identification and subsequent identification of a 26-year-old Moroccan man, already burdened by police records, as an accomplice, reporting him in a state of freedom for attempted robbery.

The arrested person, having completed the ritual formalities, on the orders of the Deputy Prosecutor on duty of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Livorno, was transported to the local district house while the stolen goods were immediately returned to the person entitled to them. Following a hearing at the Court of Livorno, the Judge validated the arrest of the 26-year-old and confirmed his precautionary custody in prison.
