The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Livorno, as part of the intensification of services to combat widespread crime and road safety, with particular regard to the peripheral areas of the city, in line with the strategic directives of the Prefecture Prosegue, carried out checks in the Shanghai and Korea neighborhoods.

It was precisely in this last neighborhood that a patrol from the Radiomobile Section of the Livorno Company, in the evening, identified a car carrying out dangerous manoeuvres. The driver of the vehicle, seeing the Carabinieri patrol approaching, stopped the vehicle in the middle of the road, got out of the car, leaving the radio on at high volume and the door open, and hurriedly entered a bar.

The young 23-year-old's awkward attempt to blend in among the patrons of the public establishment was in vain because he was immediately known by the police thanks to their knowledge of the area. The boy, burdened by several precedents, was immediately called by the police to justify his actions but, in an attempt to gain impunity, he began to rail against the members of the patrol with outrageous phrases and threats. Having already been caught and administratively sanctioned for driving without a license in the recent past, he was reported while at liberty for the corresponding crime as well as for insulting and resisting a public official.
The checks will continue throughout the city.
