Lecce, property on loan for use used as an illegal car workshop

On the morning of day 10 cm, at 09.00, personnel of the judicial police team - Lecce Traffic Police Section and of the Maglie Traffic Police Detachment, ascertained the existence of two car repair activities, carried out illegally in Collepasso (LE), contesting the administrative violation referred to in art.10 c.2 of L.122/1992 to the owners of the respective businesses, for a total of approximately 10.000 euros. Recipients of further administrative sanctions, amounting to approximately 5.000 euros, are those who used these unauthorized companies to repair their vehicles. The service implemented is part of the series of controls aimed at verifying the regular performance of the activities carried out by companies involved in the aforementioned sector.
The entire property, given on loan for free use by the owner, was occupied by two brothers who, each on their own account, illegally carried out the self-repair activity of the mechanical and mechatronics workshop type with the provision of means and places aimed at this purpose, all in the absence of communication and authorizations from the bodies responsible for this purpose, to which the results of the assessment carried out were communicated. At the time of the check, the presence of n. 35 vehicles under repair, and, in addition to those responsible for the activity, two people were identified as carrying out the necessary operations. At the end of the verification carried out, the precautionary administrative seizure of the equipment present within the two structures used as workshops was carried out, with the aim of confiscation by the competent authorities.
