Yes is concluded positively il local control programme and to combat drug trafficking which took place over the weekend just ended with the arrest of a couple of criminals from Alcamo.

in last weeks the agents of the Investigation Section of the Commissariat operated numerous charges for possession of narcotic substances for personal use towards various subjects known as habitual consumers of the same; the indicazioni that came from this activity, in addition to attesting to a significant increase in the consumption of narcotic substances such as cocaine/crack, were cross-referenced with investigative findings which, on 1 us, allowed an observation service to be set up near the hamlet of Rigaletta/Milo - Erice countryside - where a car known to the investigators in that context was encountered and driven by a known criminal from Alcamo who at that moment was he was in the company of his live-in partner; at the sight of the officers, the driver reversed the direction of travel and entered a country road where he was stopped thanks to the prompt intervention of the operating personnel.

La reaction of the offender, together to the nervous attitude immediately expressed towards the operating personnel, induced them officers to proceed with the search of the vehicle where, appropriately placed next to the handbrake, a foil wrapper was found containing a whitish solid substance which, subsequently analyzed and weighed, turned out to be approximately 111 grams of cocaine/crack.

Accompanied in this center, extended the research activity at the couple's registered residence, as well as at the summer home located in Alcamo Marina; as part of the search carried out at the couple's registered residence, one was found large sum of money cash inside the kitchen hood divided into two distinct wallets, which was subsequently determined to be almost € 5.000,00 in small denomination banknotes of 10 and 20 and subjected to preventive seizure as it was considered to be the proceeds of the criminal activity of drug dealing in light of the particular methods of concealment and considering that the couple lives only on the proceeds of the citizen's income.

In light of the reconstruction which precedes and considering the criminal and police records reported by the couple, we proceeded to arrest in flagrante delicto crime by accompanying the man to the Casa Circ.le “P. Cerulli” of Trapani, while the woman, given her condition as the mother of three minors, was accompanied to her home to be subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest.

A following the validation hearing celebrated before the GIP of the Court of Trapani, in addition to having consecrated the legitimacy of the work of the Judicial Police, the pre-trial detention of the man in prison while the woman, despite the circumstantial gravity of the disputed facts having been recognized, ordered her immediate release
