He abandoned his invalid mother to go on holiday: arrested for aggravated voluntary manslaughter.

According to the indictment, he would have abandoned his elderly invalid mother to go on holiday. The woman, 49, was arrested yesterday for aggravated voluntary homicide.

I Carabinieri of the Monterotondo company (Rome) they served the order ordering the precautionary custody in prison of the 49-year-old.

The events, which date back to June, occurred in Montelibretti (Rome).

The 84-year-old woman died of starvation following abandonment. The 49-year-old had been placed on domiciliary, waiting for its position to be defined. Investigators would have found notes relating to the purchase of a plane ticket which suggested an imminent escape. For this reason the Prosecutor's Office has requested in recent days the aggravation of the measure.

From the investigations of the Carabinieri it emerged that the daughter, instead of looking after her, she would have left to spend a holiday in Abruzzo, leaving her without the necessary care.

The Tivoli Public Prosecutor's Office had issued an arrest warrant against the suspect, considering her seriously suspected of the crime of abandonment of an incompetent person, a condition following which the elderly mother would have died.
