Gorlago murder, Chiara Alessandri aged 30
He had lured his "rival" in love into a carefully planned trap and then killed her. A heinous and absurd crime committed on 17 January 2019 by Chiara Alessandri, 44 years old, mother of three children from Gorlago in the province of Bergamo, against her peer Stefania Crotti, and today 18 June sentenced to 30 years by the Gup of Brescia Alberto Pavan. The prosecutor had asked for a life sentence for the accused, contesting the premeditation and the crime of destruction of a corpse (Crotti had in fact been burned and abandoned on a path in the Erbusco area, ed.), but in the end the judge merged the two crimes and accepted the theory of Alessandri's defender that the woman, after having hit the victim several times with a hammer in her garage in Gorlago, had put her in a bag believing her to be dead and then had abandoned her about twenty kilometers away.
In reality, the medical examiner had ascertained that poor Stefania was still alive when her body was set on fire. Also present in the courtroom were Stefano del Bello, the victim's husband, and his sister Loretta Crotti, who were civil parties. No comments from them. Alessandri's fury was triggered after the man had rejected her because he had gotten back together with her wife. In fact, Chiara and Stefano had a brief relationship in the summer of 2018, when he and his wife were separated, but then he returned home.
So Alessandri had studied a plan: she had convinced a friend to go outside the company where Stefania worked with a rose and a note, making her believe that her husband had organized a surprise for her. The man had blindfolded her and taken her to Chiara's garage. At that point she had sprung into action and once alone he had struck her dead. In making the body disappear she had not taken into account the video surveillance cameras in the area and on the motorway telepass which had portrayed her route.
What initially framed her were the tire tracks of her car left in the ground where the body was found and the statements of the unaware accomplice. In fact, when her husband Stefano del Bello had raised the alarm about the disappearance of his wife, mother and faithful companion, Chiara's friend had immediately understood that there was something wrong and had then told everything to the police, confirming how diabolical had been the plan hatched by her.
