Giugliano (Naples), had evaded the prison order: tracked down and arrested as a fugitive thanks to web patrolling.
Last night, while the earth was shaking, the Carabinieri of the operational section of the Giugliano in Campania company arrested FI, 52-year-old already known to the police believed to be close to organized crime circles.
A prison order was pending on the man issued last May 9th by the Attorney General of Naples from which he had escaped. The Carabinieri have started tracking down the man, starting investigations both online and traditional. Thanks to web patrolling, however, the military monitored and analyzed the man's habits, identifying the hiding place.
The 52-year-old was in a villa in via Ripuaria, in the hamlet of Varcaturo, in the company of a relative. On the rear side of the house a makeshift staircase had been set up to climb over the wall, to be used as an escape route.
The arrested man was transferred to prison where he will have to serve a sentence of 5 years and 8 months in prison for criminal association, receiving stolen goods and money laundering.
