Genoa is the nightmare of the bars in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Reported
Genoa, Piazza Vittorio Veneto, 14.30 pm
The State Police of Genoa reported a 33-year-old Romanian woman with multiple criminal convictions for persecutory acts and resistance to a public official, also sanctioning her for drunkenness.
Yesterday afternoon the police officer from the Cornigliano police station intervened in a kebab bar in Sampierdarena because the woman was passing between the tables and stealing food from the customers, causing them to flee. On site, the 33-year-old, already known to the workers, was calmly sitting intent on eating other people's food. At the sight of the police, she suddenly threw the plates on the floor, throwing some at the officers, shouting and threatening them. While she was calmed down and taken to the police station for the ritual proceedings, other shopkeepers approached the policemen to tell of the persecution that the woman had been carrying out for at least three months. Every day, several times a day, always drunk, she usually goes around the bars in the area stealing food from customers, intimidating the owners, consuming alcohol purchased elsewhere at the tables and forcing the bartenders to serve her free food and alcohol under the threat to have the place closed by annoying the buyers.
In several cases she even attacked and beat shopkeepers and repeatedly threw dishes at those who opposed her.
In recent months, in addition to losing customers and money, merchants have lived in a true state of anxiety, fear and exasperation.
