Genoa, The policemen of the PS Chiavari police station yesterday carried out 6 precautionary custody in prison of 5 Italians and an Ecuadorian between 20 and 40 years old. During the operation which began at the end of 2019, 7 red-handed arrests were made for the crime of "drug dealing", 15 young people were reported at large, two of whom were minors, and another 30 individuals were reported to the Prefecture as consumers of hashish and marijuana.

Since the end of 2019, given the resurgence in the consumption of narcotic substances derived from cannabis recorded among young people in the Chiavari area, a vast investigation began conducted by investigators from the Chiavari police station.
With the arrest, at the end of 2019, of a young man found in possession of approximately half a kilo of marijuana which he held for sale to third parties, the investigative activity began and subsequently continued with the reconstruction and identification of other dedicated subjects. to drug dealing activity in the towns of Chiavari and Lavagna. The info-investigative activity led to the arrest of another 6 young pushers who mainly carried out their activity using social networks where they posted videos showing the "goods" for sale, convinced that they could not be intercepted.
The analysis of the chats on the seized cell phones allowed the agents to identify both their sources of supply and their buyers, all young and very young people who were then summoned to the police station to be questioned in the minutes.
The investigation activity, coordinated by the Deputy Prosecutor Stefano Puppo, revealed that the 7 arrested pushers shared the same customer-buyers and, thanks to an extensive analysis and control activity on social media, hence the name of the investigation, led to the identification of almost 200 consumers, many of whom were minors, who turned to the suspects to purchase the narcotic.
Another peculiar note is that the investigations carried out also on the web have brought to the attention of the investigators some music videos uploaded on "Facebook" and "You Tube" by local rappers in which the dealing of narcotic substances and the easy profit that this derives from it and in which some of the arrested subjects appear as "actors/extras" in the same videos, perhaps playing themselves.
At the end of the judicial police activity, having emerged a flourishing well-structured and quite profitable drug dealing activity, the Court of Genoa issued the 6 precautionary custody orders carried out yesterday morning by the staff of the Chiavari police station together with the dog department. and Crime Prevention Department. During the activity, a greenhouse used for the cultivation of illegal marijuana was found and seized, for which the father of one of the arrested people was reported.
