Ascoli Piceno, fifty years old with the obligation not to leave Naples: arrested for providing false personal details.

During the morning of last Friday, the Operations Room of the Ascoli Piceno Police Headquarters was contacted by some elderly residents in the Borgo Solestà area.
These people, also mindful of what they learned during the public meetings held by Police Headquarters personnel on the phenomenon of scams, reported that they had been contacted by telephone by people qualified as members of the Police Force and/or lawyers.
The dynamics described seemed to faithfully follow the technique used for some time to carry out scams against the elderly.
The Specialized Section of the Flying Squad for these crimes immediately reached the affected area, carrying out targeted judicial police investigations which made it possible to locate a suspicious vehicle.
It was then blocked and the occupants identified.
Two people resident in the Neapolitan area on board. One of the two, without identifying documents, provided his personal details orally. The investigators, however, using sophisticated photodactyloscopic identification techniques, managed to trace the exact personal details of the subject, discovering that he was subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to reside in the city of Naples with a ban on leaving it, for having carried out a fraud loaded with an elderly man, a few months earlier, in the city of Bologna.
At this point, having maliciously provided false statements about his personal identity, the man was arrested.
The Judge of the Court of Ascoli Piceno, after having validated the arrest, ordered a new precautionary measure for the suspect, subjecting him to the obligation to sign at a Naples Police Office.
The investigations into the two continue, directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ascoli Piceno, which wants to see clearly about their presence in the city.
The Flying Squad is verifying their probable involvement in some scam attempts that took place in Ascoli Piceno on the very day of the arrest.
