Empoli (Florence), inspection at the “Cerbaie”: bivouacs, drugs and a katana found.
The soldiers of the Fucecchio Carabinieri Station, with the help of a team from the Operational Intervention Company of the 6th "Toscana" Carabinieri Battalion of Florence, over the last weekend they further intensified their daily control activity in the "Cerbaie" wooded area, with tight controls inside and on the main road arteries.
Bivouacs, katanas and drugs in the woods
In particular, inside the woods they identified and removed numerous bivouacs used by drug dealers and seized 113,2 grams of hashish, a Japanese katana with a 67 cm long blade, two small billhooks and two mobile phones.
Against the Highway Code
Numerous violations of the highway code were issued, also with the aim of dissuading potential drug users from circulating in the area at high speed to avoid checks, and a 30-year-old Albanian was reported to the Prefecture of Florence as he was found in possession of gr. 1,2 of marijuana, with simultaneous withdrawal of the driving license.
Sutler for drug dealers
Furthermore, in the same operational context, a 41-year-old Italian resident in the Pisa area was referred, in a state of freedom, to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Ordinary Court of Florence for personal aiding and abetting, as he was considered one of the drug dealers' sutlers.
His position is now being examined by the Judicial Authority which will ascertain whether or not he is responsible during the subsequent trial.
